As a Configuration Engineer at Safran, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate configuration of engine modules and systems. Your expertise will be essential in validating materials, providing support to teams, and developing virtual tools to enhance the configuration process.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate the list of materials to be released in each module and system, ensuring compliance with engine workscope, client requirements, and applicable manuals.
- Provide support to teams within the supply chain and Operations on part number applicability issues, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient problem-solving.
- Create lists of expendable materials and hardware (kits) to ensure correct engine reassembly, aligning with engine shop manual and data analysis.
- Support Assembly area in ensuring correct assembly of the engine module, preventing work stoppages and optimizing production.
- Ensure the correct completion of service bulletins, conducting in-depth analysis and considering all affected factors.
- Develop and improve virtual tools to aid in configuration process, including detection of configuration deviations, material validation, and kit creation.
- Comply with production plans by ensuring engine modular configuration, proposing exchanges of parts and movements in the system.
- Participate or lead projects related to improving the configuration area or management of aeronautical parts, driving innovation and excellence.
Requirements
Aeronautical engineer with a strong background in configuration management, materials science, and engineering principles.
