We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Amazon Logistics Team as an Area Manager, Last Mile Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of our delivery station, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of Amazon orders to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Review operational forecasts and determine productivity requirements for sort operations, managing a team to meet all building goals.
- Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and Delivery Service Providers.
- Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
- Lead a team of Process Assistants, Shift Station Managers, and Delivery Service Providers in daily management of the delivery station, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with DSPs and management representatives.
- Ensure a safe work place, properly trained people, and address their needs so they can focus on their jobs.
- 3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or Lean techniques experience.
- Ability to work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, or not air-conditioned.
- Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily.
- Route shipments within the AMZL coverage area.
- Support and assign job duties to Process Assistants.
