**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Regulation Assistant to join our team at Kansas City Southern Railway. In this role, you will be responsible for providing critical support to union and non-union personnel in obtaining their Federal Railroad License for Railroad Technical Personnel.

As a key member of our team, you will maintain a reliable database for tracking federal licenses and collaborate with various areas to ensure compliance with regulatory authority observations. Your moderate level of autonomy and problem-solving skills will enable you to contribute to departmental objectives and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and administer employee documents for obtaining their Federal License.
  • Work closely with supervisors from different areas to ensure timely and accurate document submission.
  • Assist employees after completing their Federal License class in securing signatures on the DC3, logging into the government system, and scanning required documents.
  • Coordinate medical examinations with SICT for personnel requiring them.
  • Collaborate with the Training Team to facilitate progress for employees completing the Federal License course.
  • Provide assistance during work hours to employees who have documentation but need help completing the process before the SCT.
  • Generate follow-ups with areas involved to address Regulatory Authority observations and provide necessary information/documentation to the compliance area of the legal department.
  • Embody KCS Vision, Values, and Culture interactions with coworkers, business partners, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Address issues related to concession compliance, such as information analysis or data collection.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job-related major field of study.
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
