We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at John Deere. As a key member of our manufacturing engineering team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and performing manufacturing engineering work for drivetrain assembly processes.
Main Responsibilities:- Plan and implement the manufacture of new products or major new processes within the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
- Lead or manage projects in manufacturing engineering of moderate to large scope, including the installation of new equipment or product programs.
- Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement initiatives of broad scope.
- Research, develop, and implement electronic tools to optimize product, processes, and facilities.
- Lead in the development and implementation of plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of broad scope.
- Define and lead team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity, and efficiency of broad scope.
- Define and lead analysis, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology of broader scope.
- Lead the development of alternate pay plans for wage employees, identifying key performance metrics.
- Manufacturing Engineering Expert (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.).
- Expert on the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
- Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance, and facilities.
