Strategic Procurement Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team at ALG Vacations. As part of the Hyatt family, we offer a unique opportunity for growth and development in the leisure travel industry.

About the Role:

This role is responsible for negotiating with suppliers for selected categories of Food & Beverage for our resorts, ensuring compliance with corporate standards. You will also be responsible for preparing and executing comparison charts for corporate purchasing management, overseeing negotiations at property level, and maintaining our Central Catalogue.

Main Responsibilities:

• Negotiations: Identify opportunities for negotiation based on annual spending by hotels in different regions. Prepare bidding schedules according to assigned categories and execute bidding processes for each category.
• Contract Management: Establish commercial and technical conditions, invite suppliers to participate, receive proposals, make comparison charts, and assign suppliers.
• Compliance: Revise negotiation compliance at property level, address doubts, and provide service to properties.
• Catalogue Maintenance: Maintain our Central Catalogue.
• Travel: Overview contract signature with selected suppliers and perform other duties as required or assigned by a manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in administrative areas, tourism, or international trade.
• At least 2 years of experience in a corporate position or 4 years as a purchasing manager at hotel level.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Proficient in English, with at least 70% ability to engage in business conversations.
• Basic knowledge of International Trade.
• Advanced Negotiation Skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time across various regions.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
