Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyze and interpret engineering schematics and technical documentation with a strong grasp of electrical and mechanical components and products.
• Spearhead Supplier Quality Engineering initiatives focusing on early preventive measures, including drawing specifications, risk evaluation and mitigation, supplier audits, and qualification processes, as well as control plan and inspection plan development.
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills to enhance performance outcomes.
• Utilize dashboards and performance metrics to promote continuous improvement within the commodity.
• Lead and resolve supplier-related corrective and preventive actions, addressing fundamental and systemic root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Implement quality methodologies, tools, and techniques (such as 8D, SPC, Cp/Cpk, GR&R, Design for Six Sigma, Cost of Poor Quality, and Failure Mode Effect Analysis) throughout the product development and release phases.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A bachelor's degree in engineering is required, with a preference for Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering disciplines.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, supplier, or quality engineering roles.
• Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
• Extensive understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Proficient in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and problem-solving methodologies (8D-5Why).
• Experience conducting quality audits on suppliers to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
• Exceptional English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create technical reports and presentations.
• Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven track record of effectively coordinating peer activities.
• Self-motivated individual capable of working with minimal supervision, adept at managing workload and priorities, and escalating issues appropriately to secure management support when necessary.
• Essential skills include team building, leadership, decisiveness, and effective communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Power and Minitab.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning systems, preferably SAP.
