Supply Chain Manager

As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will lead a large team of senior supplier development engineers and/or team leaders to develop and monitor supplier performance by establishing objectives and guidelines. You will monitor critical business-wide metrics and engage the senior management of key suppliers to initiate appropriate improvement programs to sustain high performance.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate all efforts in the Supply Chain team to ensure supplier performance through preventive and corrective actions, allowing an uninterrupted supply of materials to our sites.
- Develop skills within and outside the team with supplier development improvement tools, including ACE tools, UPPAP, capacity assessments, production planning/control, and delivery/quality risk assessment tools, to enhance the capabilities of the team(s).
- Engage senior management of key suppliers to initiate appropriate improvement programs to achieve and sustain high levels of performance.
- Develop and implement new processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems.
- Monitor critical business-wide metrics and coordinate cross-functional work teams to increase the effectiveness of supply chain initiatives in a timely manner.
- Lead, coordinate, organize, train, develop, supervise, and coach the Supplier Performance team.
- Implement preventative and corrective measures to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Build, execute, and enforce supplier recovery plans.
- Serve as escalation to ensure supplier performance is met.
- Monitor supplier capacity vs. Carrier demand and execute mitigation plans to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on supplier performance status and recovery plans.
- Collaborate with Category Management, Material Planning, and Supplier Quality to improve CMX Supply Chain Resiliency through Dual Source and VMI inventory planning.
- At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing and operations.
- At least 8 years of experience as a team manager.
- Material planning experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience in Carrier Excellence (Cx), lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and/or Six Sigma (certification preferred).
- This position requires travel to visit suppliers in Mexico and the USA (visa preferred).
- Advanced English.
