Job Summary

This position is responsible for designing and implementing systems and equipment procedures used in the facility. The successful candidate will lead projects such as new product development, new raw material development, saving projects, and capacity projects. They will also be responsible for leading the continuous improvement system in the plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing.
  • Implementing actions to improve production rates and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of the plant.
  • Working with departments to establish safety procedures (SOP).
  • Leading tests and monitoring process performance throughout production.
  • Troubleshooting problems associated with the manufacturing process.
  • Supporting the Maintenance Manager to implement CAPEX Projects related to savings or process improvement.
  • Leading projects with customers such as R&R and other statistical methods to improve measurement methods accuracy, quality, and service level.
  • Leading investment projects and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Leading the continuous improvement system in the plant.
  • Leading saving projects related to the process.
Requirements
  • Excellent management skills (teamwork organization), performance management, and leadership.
  • Very comfortable in transversal management to influence other departments like sales and operations.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, result-oriented.
  • Multi-tasking skills.
  • Rigorous, organized, and process-oriented.
  • Able to maintain calm under pressure.
  • Analytical skills for troubleshooting problems related to the process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a process engineer in a worldwide environment.
  • Experience leading projects and people.
  • Excellent ability to promote new ideas and implement new processes/tools to support profitable business development and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent knowledge of statistical methods, six sigma, lean manufacturing, and Minitab.
  • 90% level of English proficiency.
