Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Snowflake Database Administrator to join our team. As a Senior Snowflake Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale Snowflake databases for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Snowflake databases for large-scale data warehousing and analytics
  • Develop and maintain database security and access controls
  • Analyze production workloads and develop strategies to optimize database performance
  • Lead cross-regional data replication and database recovery efforts
  • Develop and maintain Unix shell scripting and SQL skills to automate database tasks
  • Monitor and maintain database health, performance, and growth
  • Manage and monitor user access to databases
  • Develop and maintain data modeling and database design skills
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Snowflake performance tuning and capacity planning
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Azure services, including compute, storage, and security

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on Snowflake
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake security, backups, and restores
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with data and batch loading processes
  • Strong data modeling and database design skills
  • Experience with disk space capacity planning and machine sizing
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake performance tuning and capacity planning
  • Strong expertise in Azure services, including compute, storage, and security
