About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Senior Manager to join our team at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. This is a critical role that plays a key part in our security posture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Governance Pillar: Oversee the Governance Pillar team and manage the governance program for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
  • Develop and Maintain Governance Framework: Manage and support the governance framework, oversee governance documentation management, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide Guidance and Support: Assist with reviewing legal documents, provide recommendations for additional content, and redline areas for omission. Drive a risk-aware culture across the organization.
  • Build and Report on Metrics: Build, sustain, and report on Key Risk Indicator (KRI), Key Performance Indicator (KPI), and other metrics representing the Governance program progress and performance on Key Performance Objectives; and Key Control Indicators (KCI) to identify how well controls are supporting the organization.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with company goals.
Qualifications
  • 10+ Years of Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity and/or technology.
  • Security Framework Concepts: Understands security framework concepts and experienced in policy and standards development.
  • Industry Standards: Experienced with industry standards such as NIST (CSF) 2.0, NIST800-53, and ISO 27001/02.
  • People Leadership: Experienced people leader that cultivates a team, drives program maturity, and can effectively lead their team through transformation and change.
  • Reporting and Communication: Experienced in reporting on program status and achievements, and goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Relative experience in governance, risk management, and compliance. Understands technology, infrastructure, and cybersecurity and can correlate them as it pertains to security policies and standards.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinking, problem solving, and ability to render solutions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication skills: Ability to communicate, inspire, and delegate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Highly collaborative: Successfully collaborates vertically and horizontally to provide guidance and support to management and staff on governance matters.
  • Knowledge of Laws and Regulations: Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
Education and Experience
  • Four-Year or Graduate Degree: Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically 10+ Years of Experience: Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in cyber & IT security, or a related field.
Preferred Certifications
  • Industry Certification: At least one industry certification, such as: CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISA, GSEC, etc.
