Lear Corporation is a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier seeking a skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for generating technical documentation for automotive wiring harnesses, ensuring compliance with client requirements and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review harness plans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Validate products against plans and customer specifications, including engineering changes, new starts, and transfers.
- Review, compare, and upload bills of materials (BOM) in the REN2/QAD database for harness construction.
- Prepare, review, compare, and load cutting sheets in the UCS system, and generate visual aids for special processes.
- Elaborate, review, compare, and load standard times for harness manufacture.
- Prepare and design packaging specifications for finished products.
- Create and/or review cost studies in SEM (Smart Execution Management), PCNs in EDS (Electrical Distribution System) for engineering changes proposed by clients.
- Prepare DCN (Design Change Notice) & BCN (BOM Change Notice) to notify teams of implemented engineering changes.
Requirements
- Education: Industrial Engineering, Mechatronic, or related field.
- Experience: +2 years in similar position in Automotive Wiring Harness Industry.
- English: Advanced level.
- AutoCAD: Advanced level.
