Housekeeping Attendant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at The St. Regis Mexico City. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of public areas, including restrooms, showers, and floors. You will also be responsible for dusting surfaces, emptying trash containers, and reporting any maintenance issues or damages to management.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain public and employee restrooms and showers, including sinks, toilets, showers, and floors.
- Clean glass surfaces in public and employee areas.
- Dust surfaces in assigned areas, including furniture and fixtures.
- Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers.
- Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages to management.
- Clean and maintain lights and fixtures in public areas.
- Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary.
- Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs.
- Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
- Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to push and pull work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
- Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
- Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
- Ability to move up and down a ladder.
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
