Littelfuse is a leading global manufacturer of electronic components, serving over 100,000 end customers across various industries. As a Tax Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Mexico's tax laws and regulations.
About the Job:
- Responsible for tax opinion, tax declarations, and calculations for statutory requirements in Mexico.
- Ensure good control over statutory general ledger and compliance with Mexico tax law.
- Monthly tax recovery and tax efficiency alignment with Mexico tax law.
- Supervise regular accounting processes, including A/P and journal entries, and monthly closure accounts.
- Organize company financial programs and ensure compliance with budget requirements for different legal entities.
- Analyze and forecast financial requirements for the organization, considering tax applications and benefits.
- Supervise and ensure efficient working of all financial transactions in the organization.
- Assist departments in account reconciliation process on a monthly basis.
- Monitor authorized account reconciliation process.
- Analyze different general ledger accounts regularly.
- Prepare journal entries and synthesize common ledger for subsidiary accounts.
- Design and prepare audit schedules for external and internal audit processors.
- Coordinate the preparation of statutory regulatory reporting for Mexico authorities.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, and inventory roll forward.
- Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls.
- Work on special financial projects as required.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and deliver summary reconciliation reports.
- Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure compliance with payroll laws.
- Proper communication with local top management of different business units.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent with a focus on tax.
- Proven working experience as a tax support/coordinator.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Strong understanding of local and federal taxes.
- 3+ years of experience with manufacturing companies in positions with responsibility in areas such as accounting, taxes, accounts payable, bank, and accounts receivable.
- Well-understanding of Mexico tax law and regulations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in accessing information from ERP systems, such as SAP.
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications.
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
- Experience in partnering with operations to develop financial analysis.
- Fluent English language.
