Job Title: Global Payroll Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Payroll Specialist to join our team at GoGlobal. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements, and maintaining up-to-date records for our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process the company's payroll every pay period, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees.
- Maintain the payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting employee data.
- Compute employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and applicable taxes.
- Register and deregister employees for statutory social benefits with relevant local authorities.
- Handle statutory processing to ensure compliance with local requirements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.
- Prepare final calculations for leavers, including separation packages, and ensure all related regulatory filings are completed as required.
- Ensure that employee data is updated correctly in the payroll and employee databases.
- Generate and distribute payslips accurately and promptly to all relevant employees.
- Handle changes in exemptions, job status, and job titles in the payroll system.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding wages, deductions, attendance, and time records, providing detailed breakdowns when necessary.
- Serve as an escalation point for employees, ensuring their issues and concerns are resolved quickly and efficiently.
- Support HR operations in the country by assisting with various HR-related tasks as needed.
- Adhere to payroll policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in payroll-related tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee pay records at all times.
- Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and regulatory changes, communicating updates to the team as applicable.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing.
- Deep understanding of statutory filing requirements in Mexico.
- Process payroll activities in accordance with company guidelines, social security, legislations and local taxes requirements.
- Experience with SUA, SIPARE, IDSE (México).
- Must have understanding of payroll concepts such as: Earning/Deduction, Termination Payouts, Social Security Law, Federal Work Law, SBC determination and revision (México).
- Ensure the compliance related to electronic stamping (CFDI'S) (México).
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations in Mexico.
- Has working experience with payroll related systems and software.
- Proficiency in both verbal and written communication in English.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work under tight schedules and pressure.
- Ability to work independently while also being a good team player.
- Flexibility and a start-up mindset, with the ability to perform tasks in different areas.
- Willingness and ability to work in a hybrid model, combining remote and on-site work as required.
