SAP is a global leader in enterprise software, and we're looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our storage infrastructure, including NetApp Enterprise storage and Ceph infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain storage environments for external and internal cloud solutions.
  • Regularly update and optimize NetApp Enterprise storage systems for high performance, capacity, and security.
  • Configure and optimize Ceph storage infrastructure for peak performance.
  • Handle storage provisioning and development within the Ceph and enterprise storage environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance or reliability across all storage systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Ops services through process design, tool advancement, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure efficient integration of storage systems with other infrastructures.
  • Automate recurring storage administration tasks using DevOps practices.
  • Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes, adhering to best practices.
  • Document system changes and provide training to other team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends to introduce relevant features or advancements in our storage systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in technical storage expertise, preferably in a Storage and IT customer-facing role.
  • In-depth knowledge of storage concepts and architectures, specifically with NetApp Storage infrastructure.
  • Experience with CEPH managing and operating an object storage footprint.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT processes and best practices related to backup and recovery, NAS/SAN, and object technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, motivation, exceptional customer service, project management, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in the DevOps framework and familiarity with tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira, and Prometheus.
  • Experience with operating and managing Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and overall health.
  • Ability to use scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Golang to automate repetitive tasks and improve workflows.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and OpenStack is an advantage.
