Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Energy Procurement Senior Specialist to join our Latin America team. As a key member of our energy procurement team, you will be responsible for leading energy sourcing projects across Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize energy procurement strategies to mitigate risks and maximize value for our organization.
- Develop comprehensive market intelligence to inform decision-making and optimize our energy portfolio.
- Stay updated with regulatory changes, geopolitical developments, and industry innovations influencing energy procurement in the region.
- Lead regional and local tenders, negotiate commercial agreements, and drive savings initiatives to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Cultivate strong vendor relationships and ensure contract adherence through performance reviews and continuous improvements.
- Provide strategic insights on energy position reports and forecast price evolution to facilitate effective decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and sustainability teams, to align energy procurement strategies with broader organizational objectives.
Scope and Impact
As a Regional Energy Procurement Senior Specialist, you will have a profound impact on the organization's financial performance, operational resilience, and sustainability objectives. You will lead efforts to optimize total procurement costs, manage energy supply shortages, and identify alternative suppliers to ensure operational continuity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Administration, or related field.
- 5 years of proven experience in energy procurement, including risk management.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, coupled with proficiency in strategic sourcing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Word, along with excellent project management skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, with additional languages a plus.
