Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Digital Content Management team at Hsbc is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Web Production Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the production of digital content across various platforms, ensuring high-quality standards and integrity of content published on Hsbc websites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the production of digital content, including accessibility checks, content-related search engine optimization requirements, tagging, and support for IT and emergency deployment tests.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including IT, marketing, vendors, and other subject matter experts, to identify technical gaps and resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of content management systems used by Hsbc and achieve competency in those systems.
  • Assist and report to the identified chapter lead within the service, ensuring alignment with the team's objectives and performance review.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education or a relevant professional qualification.
  • Experience in managing and implementing data governance guidelines, procedures, standards, methods, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in working with data tools, reference data, data frameworks, and templates.
  • Experience in managing a team with diverse work types and roles.
  • Structured and systematic working style.
  • Good stakeholder management skills.
  • Good understanding of management information and intermediary/advanced reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
  • 7-10 years of experience in client-driven industries, possibly in financial services.
  • Good client handling skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Maintains composure and professionalism in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Flexibility in working different shifts and on weekends when required.
  • Proven operations and change leadership experience and the ability to accomplish through others.
  • Demonstrated skill to quickly grasp complex processes and concepts and make strategic decisions and recommendations/actions plans across all services provided by the Function.
  • Capability to organize and prioritize effectively in order to manage diverse activities globally under tight deadlines and close executive management scrutiny.

Desirable Skills:

  • Technical expertise on web development, content management systems, and other digital publishing platforms and tools.
  • Solid knowledge of CSS, HTML, and JavaScript to conduct day-to-day content management activities and oversee the team's delivery and targets.
  • Maintaining best practice in producing online content, in accordance with compliance and style guides.
  • Essential understanding of proofreading and editorial content check.
  • Restate the fundamentals of website user experience, accessibility standards (WCAG), analytics, and SEO practices.
