Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the upkeep and repair of security systems within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the operation of fire alarm control panels across various facilities.
  • Understand the functionality of the fire panel, including how to activate and deactivate sensors, and know the appropriate contacts for emergencies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in utilizing the CCTV system, including programming presets and macros.
  • Attain proficiency in the operation of the recording system and its applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve security system issues, coordinating with external contractors for necessary repairs. Maintain accurate records of repairs and keep the Security System Administrator updated.
  • Collaborate with the Security System Administrator to create simplified operational instructions for the security system.
  • Oversee the scheduling and management of essential repairs or modifications to the security system.
  • Assist the Security System Supervisor with the installation of new equipment, providing regular updates on progress to the Security System Supervisor and Facilities Manager.
  • Manage the creation and distribution of keys for offices, lockers, desks, etc., as required.
  • Follow all safety and health regulations pertinent to this role as directed by the supervisor.
  • Adhere to and enforce all procedures outlined in the company’s security policy.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

An Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical institution, or equivalent experience is preferred; along with at least one year of relevant experience or training; or a combination of education and experience in security management, with familiarity in C.C.T.V and access control systems.

Willingness to participate in training programs related to security equipment is essential. A background in locksmithing or the ability to acquire locksmith skills is also necessary.
