Compensation PackageWe offer a competitive salary benchmarked against market rates in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our compensation package includes a base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. We also provide a completion bonus, performance bonus, and generous benefits for employees in the US, including equity in the company.
Applicants outside the US will be considered to become employees of one of our trusted partners and receive benefits through them as well as NQSOs from Arch Systems.
About This RoleYou'll be an Applications Engineer on our AppEng team, responsible for driving technical and overall customer success. You'll identify customer needs, deploy components of the ArchFX technology stack, and ensure it's delivering data correctly and reliably.
ArchFX receives millions of streaming IOT data points per day from thousands of advanced machines in factories and merges it with a virtual factory map containing metadata about each machine's location and configuration. Managing this time-aware factory map data structure is a core component of ArchFX Cloud.
ArchFX Cloud serves its factory map data to all aspects of the ArchFX system, including on-premise data ingestion and advanced data science models of factory operations.
Key Responsibilities- Configure the ArchFX Platform Factory Map, our product that acts as a global metadata record of our customer's machine layout and utilization.
- Streamline and improve the Factory Mapping process to be more efficient, scalable, and powerful.
- Work directly with customers and Technical Program Managers to drive successful rollout and end-to-end solutions, including the Factory Map and the entire product stack.
- Develop tools to validate and monitor customer installations, ensuring uptime, accuracy, and quality.
- Provide feedback and guidance on features and ideas for internal and external tools to serve customer needs effectively.
We're looking for someone with professional experience using and developing with Python to enhance or automate internal operational processes or customer-related systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously. Extreme attention to detail and data accuracy are also required.
Desirable Skills and Experience- Experience with databases and structured query languages (SQL).
- Experience working with networking systems and protocols like HTTP, MQTT, etc.
- Experience working at a major electronics contract manufacturer (CM), OEM, or machine maker creating and selling SMT equipment.
- Customer-facing experience as an engineer or in program management/account management capacity.
