About the Role

The Data Analyst - Cash and Trade Specialist is an intermediate-level position within Citibank's Transaction Services team. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance existing processes, designing and implementing efficient solutions, and analyzing large datasets to drive efficiency in Cash and Trade Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement, design and implement efficient solutions to optimize Cash and Trade Operations.
  • EUC Development: Design and develop self-service tools using Excel (macros) and other relevant tools to empower end-users.
  • Data Analysis: Extract, clean, and analyze large data sets using databases to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Problem-Solving: Evaluate and recommend solutions to problems through data analysis, technical experience, and precedent.
  • Client Management: Anticipate and respond to requests for deliverables with internal and external clients and vendors.
  • Project Collaboration: Contribute to and collaborate with cash & trade operations projects as needed.
  • Team Integration: Develop comprehension of how the cash & trade operations team interacts with others in accomplishing objectives.
  • Risk Management: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-2 years of data analysis experience in the financial sector.
  • Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, including macros and advanced functions; familiarity with project management methodologies; fundamental comprehension of financial industry regulations; effective verbal and written skills in both English and Spanish (Intermediate level).
  • Education: Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
