We are seeking a highly skilled NPI Engineer to join our team at Grupo Prodensa. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful introduction of new products into our manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Oversee the end-to-end process of introducing new products, coordinating activities between various departments, including R&D, production, procurement, and quality assurance.
- Prototype Oversight: Ensure that prototypes meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the organization, including design, manufacturing, and supply chain, to facilitate a smooth transition from development to production.
- Timeline Management: Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, ensuring all key milestones are met for a timely product launch.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential risks during the introduction process and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Feasibility Assessment: Evaluate the feasibility of new product introductions, considering technical, logistical, and resource-related aspects.
- Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyze costs associated with the introduction process, aiming to optimize efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the new product introduction, including technical specifications, testing results, and progress reports.
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Complete a DFM process/document for each product being transferred.
- BOM Creation and Upload: Responsible for creating and uploading Bill of Materials (BOM) in the company ERP system, SAP.
- Lean Manufacturing Principles: Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and participate in training production team members on production processes.
- 5S Order and Cleanliness: Maintain 5S order and cleanliness at all times in dedicated areas.
- Completed Degree: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Professional License: Possess a degree or professional license in a relevant field.
- Advanced Conversational English: Proficient in English, with a strong command of written and spoken language.
- 5 Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Project Management Tools: Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
- Cost Analysis: Strong understanding of cost analysis and optimization techniques.
- Engineering Principles: Foundational understanding of industrial engineering principles.
- Manufacturing Process Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly in the wood industry.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide insights.
