We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at Orbis Corporation. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and executing processes that enhance supplier quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing test runs and correlation studies
- Update documentation in the Quality Management System
- Perform calibration control for measuring equipment
- Conduct on-site calibrations
- Manage calibrations with external suppliers
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the quality system
- Identify the need for assembly fixtures and go/no-go gauges
- Act as an internal auditor
- Update product guidelines
- Support in claims to intercompany ZIP complaints and supplier complaints
- Create, support, and monitor HOLD/WIP tickets
- Complete customer service at the Silao ORBIS plant and at customer facilities
- Support in rework coordination
- Actively participate in continuous improvement and promote 5S and worksheet activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years of experience in a quality-related field
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- Ability to handle stress and work with others
- Ability to be available outside of normal work hours
- Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop others
- Ability to lead by example and interact with a wide variety of roles
- Knowledge and use of quality tools
- Ability to develop skills to document procedures, work instructions, and product quality
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Suite
