• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for injury and illness prevention, ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• Coordinate the workers' health surveillance program, including hiring evaluations, periodic examinations, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify potential causes of accidents and occupational diseases, collaborating with the industrial safety department to implement preventive safety and hygiene measures.
• Contribute to the development of the epidemiological preventive program for diseases related to chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic, and psychosocial agents.
• Investigate incidents related to work activity, machinery, equipment, instruments, and manufacturing materials, considering their legal significance.
• Notify and lead investigations into occupational incidents, submitting required notifications to the Secretary of Labor and Social Prevention.
• Investigate and respond to ST7, ST9 forms, and other clarifying documents related to Social Security.
• Certify employee medical capacity to resume work activities after a period of disability.
• Determine, calculate, and submit information related to Risk Prime on a yearly basis.
• Provide expert opinion on the origin of illnesses or occupational incidents.
• Notify relevant company instances of medical examination results, ensuring confidentiality.
• Collaborate on training related to prevention of occupational risks.
• Coordinate the acquisition of medications and essential medical materials to provide timely and effective medical care.
• Establish and ensure compliance with a monitoring program to protect the health of working mothers during pregnancy and lactation.
• Conduct external medical consultations with relatives of workers when required.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, registration, administration, and log reports of patients, medical care, medical history, medications supplied, epidemiological controls, chronic-degenerative diseases, and other necessary data required by health authorities.
• Handle infectious cases according to applicable public health regulations and protocols.
• Supervise the medical department, ensuring logs and creating appropriate reports.
• Coordinate training based on regulatory compliance for first aid brigades.
• Participate in all activities related to industrial health and safety.
• Perform any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the immediate superior.
• Conduct health surveillance in the cafeteria, monitoring compliance with hygiene, operational studies, and examinations for cafeteria staff.
• Coordinate controls to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
**Requirements:**
• Bachelor's degree in medicine.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in charge of a medical department, medical services, and legal requirements (IMSS, COFESPRIS, and STPS).
• Preferably experience working in a manufacturing environment.
**Skills:**
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of Mexican Health regulations.
• Proficiency in MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
