**Job Title:** Director Permits

**Position Overview:**

As a key member of the Autozone team, the Director of Permitting Operations will lead and direct the team responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulations for all current and future stores in Mexico. This role is critical in avoiding any potential delays or suspensions related to permit issues.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure all required licenses are obtained and compliant with FCPA, Mexico anti-corruption laws, and Autozone policies.
  • Direct the administration of permit processes to ensure efficient and timely obtaining of municipal, state, or federal permits for new store openings and annual updates for existing stores.
  • Oversee reporting and analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to optimize permit acquisition and renewal processes.
  • Manage the annual budget for permit rights, vendor honoraries, and studies.
  • Develop and implement action plans to mitigate delays in new store openings and ensure achievement of objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with authorities and organizations to provide timely updates and address permit-related issues.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Administration, or a related field.
  • More than seven years of experience in permitting processes, construction laws, and retail operations.
  • Proven expertise in administrative law, permit process management, and budget administration.
  • English language proficiency (as a second language).
