We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance FTA Analyst to join our team at Regal Rexnord in Mexico.

Job Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with IMMEX Customs regulations for Regal Rexnord's maquiladora operations in Mexico.

Main Responsibilities
  • Solicitation and Qualification Processes: Execute the USMCA/T-MEC annual solicitation campaign, aiming for a 100% response rate.
  • Certification of Origin: Ensure all necessary documentation is retained to support certifications of origin issuance and refund projects, adhering to Regal Rexnord's Record Keeping internal process.
  • Origin Determination: Carry out the determination of the origin of products and have supporting information for its determination.
  • Risk Identification: Stay informed about business projects and import-export operation changes to identify potential risks affecting the certification of origin process.
  • Database Maintenance: Maintain an evergreen database of imported and exported material numbers, including HTS classification, Country of Origin, and USMCA qualification indicator, to share with brokers and freight forwarders and for proper declaration to authorities.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Execute and submit monthly reports and comply with Submaquila obligations (register new vendors, etc).
  • Safety Culture: Adopt Regal Rexnord's safety culture, clean working environment, life-saving rules, and daily 6S+ requirements to ensure a zero-incident culture.
  • Process Documentation: Create and maintain standard processes documentation, such as Working Instructions & Standard Works.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: In International Business, Commerce (LIN, LCI, LRI), or related field.
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years working with FTA programs and systems (Prisma, One Source, strongly preferred).
  • Customs Knowledge: Knowledge of IMMEX Decree legal frame, general customs rules, and customs law in Mexico.
  • ERP Systems: Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Domain of root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Data Analysis: Data stage analysis (customs reports).
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical and critical thinking, results-focused, ability to be analytically oriented and effectively problem-solve and deliver on objectives.
