About the Role

The Minerals and Metals Business line in our Hermosillo office is currently recruiting Civil Designers at all levels to join our team. As a Civil Designer, you will be responsible for preparing 3D civil/earthwork models and 2D civil drawings for industrial and mining projects. This includes site planning, grading, bulk earthwork, drainage, roads, parking lots, sewage collection, water distribution, and stormwater management.

You will work closely with other disciplines such as Structural, process, layout, mechanical, piping, electrical to ensure civil drawings are incorporated into overall project requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing 3D civil/earthwork models and 2D civil drawings
  • Assisting with redlines/revisions for in-progress and completed designs
  • Liaising with engineers for direction, specifications, and feedback
  • Maintaining consistent design drafting standards across projects
  • Coordinating with clients, municipalities, agencies, and sub-consultants to facilitate/expedite design completion
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from a recognized college
  • Experience in civil design and drafting
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D modeling and design
  • Experience in construction/contract administration is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of multi-functional project teams
