About the Curriculum

The AWS Tech U curriculum is designed to help participants develop technical expertise in cloud computing and prepare them for various roles within Amazon Web Services (AWS). Over approximately 24 weeks of technical and professional development, it is delivered through a mix of digital and classroom training, hands-on labs, and project work.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or related fields (or graduated less than 24 months prior to application)
  • Experience with one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Ruby, C#, or C++
  • Experience with networking fundamentals, security, databases (Relational and/or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows)
  • Fluent proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution in a school project or while working for a company
  • Experience with one or more of the following domains: systems administration (Linux/Windows), network administration (DNS, IPsec, BGP, VPN, Load Balancing), or programming (Node.JS, Java, Ruby, C#, Python, or PHP)
