About the RoleWe are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to join our AWS team in San Jose, Costa Rica, focused on the Central American market. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be on the front line of helping customers succeed using AWS technologies, linking technology with measurable business value for organizations ranging from start-ups to large, enterprise customers.
Key Responsibilities- Build a strong foundation of knowledge around AWS cloud services and the cloud ecosystem.
- Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS.
- Assist with training sessions for customers considering or already using AWS.
- Collaborate with experienced solutions architects to craft and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support.
- 3+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
- Technical degree desired; Electrical, Computer, or Networking Engineering, Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Great communication skills and ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to both large and small audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly; ability to think abstractly.
- Knowledge of scripting languages and coding skills (C/C++/C#, Node.JS, Java, Python, PHP, Ruby).
- English fluent, written and verbal.
- Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
- Experience with design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
- Working knowledge of AWS services, such as Elastic Compute Cloud, Elastic Block Storage, and Simple Storage Service.
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
- Experience with solution-selling methodologies.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner and AWS Solutions Architect Associate certifications desired.
