About the Role:
ZF Friedrichshafen AG is seeking a highly skilled Data Privacy Officer to join our Electronics & ADAS division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of data protection regulations and guidelines within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a Data Protection Management System (DPS) for our Electronics & ADAS division
- Act as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) for our division's legal entities and collaborate with existing DPOs
- Provide guidance and support to our business units on data protection compliance, including national and international regulations
- Assess new digital business projects and processing operations for data protection requirements
- Support our business units in implementing data protection solutions, performing data protection impact assessments, and maintaining records of processing activities
- Investigate personal data breaches and data subjects' requests, and participate in response activities
- Promote a culture of data protection across our division and educate our business units on their obligations
- Contribute to the development of data protection within ZF Group
Requirements:
- Completed studies in law, business, IT, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional data privacy experience in an international environment
- In-depth understanding of international data protection regulatory environments, particularly the EU GDPR
- Understanding of data-driven businesses, AI, IT systems, and cloud environments
- Ability to balance business needs with data protection compliance
- Fluent English skills, with additional languages a plus
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
