We are seeking a talented AI Artist - Art / Illustration Lead to join our innovative team. This role merges artistic vision with cutting-edge AI technologies to produce exceptional illustrations and enhance artistic workflows. As a part of our global AI transformation team, you will focus on enhancing production workflows across Monks America's Studios.

RESPONSIBILITIES / PRIORITIES

PITCH

  • Support ongoing client pitches; pitches often enable various levels of R&D against actual client challenges which, these pitches help us define the in-market need, challenges, into buyable & winning proposals that are pushing our craft towards transformation on every level of the creative execution flow. Pitch teams will have various discipline leads collaborating on workflow and R&D so that we represent the best of NOW.

R&D

  • Pursue creative excellence through AI-enabled workflows by driving generative AI art and illustration workflow transformation, ensuring production processes are updated and tested for optimal craft delivery.
  • Engage in both client-directed R&D as well as proactive R&D to explore meaningful transformation in craft.
  • Collaborate with a wider studio transformation team to ensure rapid and effective results across disciplines.

PIPELINE TRANSFORMATION - MONKS FLOW INTEGRATION

  • Drive generative AI art and illustration workflow transformation, ensuring production processes are updated and tested for optimal craft delivery.
  • Support automation teams to ensure integration of new processes into existing Monks AI-related workflows & toolstacks.
  • Proactively review and test new tools to keep workflows current in a rapidly evolving landscape.

SOCIAL AMBASSADOR

  • Represent our craft voice in social media channels, sharing insights and developments in the AI Art and Illustration space.
  • Lead net new R&D and maintain a weekly posting cadence into the new and unknown to shape the conversation on where 'art and illustration' are heading.
  • Review new tool stacks and features as part of the ongoing jobs and workflows.

Creative Craft Excellence / Awards

  • Champion excellence in craft, pushing the boundaries of making day-to-day, project-to-project. Ensuring that we activate creative workflows that are new and pushing transformation of craft into the 'never been done before area.'
  • Proven track record in winning awards and recognition.

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE SHARING

  • Lead internal and external education; developing BTS and educational case studies that allow us to craft transformation in art and illustration.

PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS

  • Compelling portfolio showcasing creativity, technical skills, and AI-integrated work.
  • Proven experience in production environments, such as art studios, illustration, or creative agencies.

TOOLS SKILLS

  • Proficient in the Adobe toolstack.
  • AI toolstacks MUST: MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, Magnific / Krea.
  • AI toolstacks NICE TO HAVE: Adobe (Firefly), Comfy UI, Chat GPT, Runway, LUMA, Eleven Labs, DALL-E.
  • Traditional Art Tools NICE TO HAVE: Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, Corel Painter, and traditional illustration tools.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • A skilled, creative, confident presenter and negotiator.
  • Fluent in spreadsheets (Google Sheets preferred).
  • Strong abilities in Google Workspace.
