Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement grinding manufacturing processes for new products and continuous improvement.
- Support production activities and analyze problems related to machine capability and production rates (OEE).
- Maintain and improve current manufacturing processes to produce parts according to specification.
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement process of the plant and implement cost-savings in manufacturing to reduce waste.
- Train and educate operators to optimize use of new and transferred equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze problems and supervise corrections related to machine capability and production rates (OEE).
- Actively participate or champion in the continuous improvement process of the plant and implement cost-savings in manufacturing to reduce waste.
- Champion key initiatives for the plant and utilize EBS to achieve plant goals.
- Train and inform cell technicians on current process techniques and new manufacturing concepts.
- Support PROLaunch and define max/min supply of all related items to equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering environment, Grinding Area.
- Knowledge and training in automation, error proofing techniques, and programming Fanuc and Siemens.
- Experience in Cincinnati, Koyo & Nova ID/OD grinders and OD/ID grinding wheels.
- Quality basics such as statistical process control, capability studies, and gage R&R's.
- Skills at interpreting mechanical drawings and basic use of CAD systems.
- Knowledge of machinery functions (hydraulic, electrical, mechanical operations).
