Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our production activities in plant Salvarcar. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing production activities to deliver high-quality products that meet customer requirements and achieve or exceed service levels and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate production schedules and resources to ensure timely delivery of products and components, while ensuring compliance with Quality System requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to solve production-related issues, including material, personnel, equipment, and process problems.
  • Develop and manage budgets and control expenses applicable to production areas to meet or exceed Business Unit financial targets.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
  • Ensure compliance with QSR, ISO, and Environment, HS requirements, as well as all applicable company procedures and policies.
  • Provide support for new product introductions and existing process transfers to Business Unit.
  • Develop and maintain department metrics to monitor performance and coordinate actions to ensure improvements.
  • Manage employee development and maintain updated and verified training records.
  • Recognize and reward performance and teamwork.
  • Identify, support, and solve labor issues in coordination with the Human Resources Department.
  • Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
  • Ensure subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.
  • Ensure personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • BS in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Master's Degree is desirable.
  • Green Belt/Black Belt Certification, Lean Manufacturing Certification, Six Sigma is desirable.
  • Minimal 9 years of experience and training within the Medical industry preferably.
  • More than 5 years of experience and/or training in similar positions preferably.
  • Medical industry experience preferably.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of the requirements of Quality Systems such as ISO and QSR.
  • Ability to identify Improvement opportunities and implement World Class Manufacturing practices such as JJPS including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ME2 concepts.
  • Excellent written and oral English and Spanish communication skills for different organizational levels.
  • Knowledge for Operations Management, including resources, capacity planning, and Project Management.
  • Knowledge of Financial concepts applied to Manufacturing, including budgets and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
