Key Responsibilities- Process Development: Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and systems that meet the required quality and productivity standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers to achieve departmental and company objectives, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all manufacturing processes and systems meet the required quality standards, identifying and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Scrap Reduction: Develop and implement strategies to reduce scrap and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
- Equipment Validation: Validate new equipment and processes to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and managers, to achieve departmental and company objectives.
- Education: Engineering degree (Must), preference: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic. Master's degree is a plus: completed or in progress.
- Language: Fluent English (oral and written).
- Knowledge: Knowledge of the IATF 16949 standard – Core tools, BIQ and PFMEA VDA-IATF Certification.
- Skills: High knowledge in applied statistics, preferential use of Minitab. Mechanical design, leader and promoter of safety rules, quality procedures and deviations in safety products. Experience in clean room processes and products. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of pneumatic and mechanical circuits, PLC, databases. Laser processes, Tests and calibrations with fluids, gases and Servo presses with micron tolerances. Troubleshooting using advanced techniques (Shainin, Six Sigma, DOE, A3, etc). Expert in risk analysis, use of the PFMEA tool, direct a group of Engineers to meet the specific requirements of GM in this matter. Managed, orderly, teamwork and visionary leadership. Maintain capable processes with a minimum CPk 1.67 and OE 85%, define a clear and concise improvement plan to achieve the goals. Show knowledge of scrap reduction techniques and cost of poor quality. Effective presentations for clients or managers. Interact with external engineering work teams to achieve departmental and company objectives. Experience in managing changes or engineering deviations.
