FP&A Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FP&A Manager to join our dynamic team at Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our financial planning and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize financial models using Workday Adaptive Planning to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze financial data to provide valuable insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Create and manage reports and dashboards in Workday Adaptive Planning and/or PowerBI to provide clear and actionable visualizations of financial performance.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including finance, operations, and business units, to gather data, understand key business drivers, and ensure the accuracy of financial models.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with senior management to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for budget vs. actual results, identifying key performance drivers and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain scenario models to assess the impact of various business decisions and external factors on the financial performance.
  • Undertake ad hoc financial analysis and modeling as required by senior management to support decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial planning and analysis processes and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements:

  • Experience with building financial models in Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Strong business acumen with proven work experience in a similar FP&A role (2+ years).
  • Strong expertise in advanced MS Excel with the ability to create advanced & dynamic models from the ground up.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to present financial data using detailed reports and summarize output for executive consumption.
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Finance, Business, or Computer Science).
  • Experience with PowerBI or Salesforce a plus.
