We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our team at 332 Discovery Networks Mexico S. De R.L. De C.V. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the US AdSales OPEX area within the OPEX CoE, contributing to the overall finance transformation roadmap and setting standards for financial management.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing teams, including recruitment, coaching, and competency development. They will also possess a deep understanding of the business from a finance perspective, with a strong background in financial control, management reporting, and business analysis.

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will be responsible for ensuring proactive and timely high-quality forecasting, reporting, and analysis of OPEX spend, including production, marketing, and research expenses. They will also support business partners in decision-making and deploy world-class end-to-end financial processes within the managed domain.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of experience in FP&A systems, including EPM, data visualization, and self-service dashboards. They will be able to advise and drive developments in these systems to provide more accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Long-Range Plan, Annual Operating Plan, and Monthly Financial Forecasts for the managed OPEX area in collaboration with business partners and Finance colleagues.
  • Provide high-quality financial information and insights from the managed OPEX area to business partners to support strategic and tactical decision-making processes.
  • Monitor actuals utilization vs. budget/prior year and provide required commentary on key variances.
  • Identify and communicate risks and opportunities related to the managed area to stakeholders.
  • Initiate and design standard FP&A processes within the managed OPEX domain and ensure effectiveness and efficiency of these processes.
  • Support productivity analysis, reporting, and control mechanisms to ensure targets realization.
  • Provide in-depth understanding of the business by translating variances in KPIs and initiate corrective actions.
  • Advise and drive developments in FP&A systems to provide more accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Work proactively together with business partners on special projects in the area of AdSales cost.
  • Manage communication and responsiveness to stakeholder requests and questions in a timely manner based on criticality of business.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Transactional Finance teams to improve financial processes related to the managed OPEX area.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • CIMA/ACCA qualified or education in progress desired.
  • Experience in managing teams, including recruitment, coaching, and competency development.
  • Progressive experience and deep understanding of the business from a finance perspective.
  • Strong IT affinity to drive required digital agenda in FP&A.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Business-driven attitude and a sparring partner for management.
  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Fluent in English.
