The Homeowner Team at ZMEX Zillow Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V. is dedicated to empowering homeowners by providing them with personalized solutions, resources, and services. Our goal is to establish strong relationships with homeowners and deliver value through our technical systems.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Android software engineer to join our Homeowner Team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and other engineering teams to build a comprehensive homeowner engagement experience. Your work will be pivotal in empowering homeowners with the solutions they need to cater to their evolving needs.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to full-stack mobile application development from concept to launch
  • Work on the latest Android technologies and architectural patterns to develop world-class mobile applications
  • Deliver performant, testable, scalable, and highly-readable code using object-oriented best practices
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve our goals and provide guidance and support for successful project outcomes
  • Identify gaps in our systems, ideate solutions, and help steer the execution of the solution
  • Design systems necessary to expand our suite of products while balancing speed-to-market and scalability for customer-facing features

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Android software development experience
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java
  • Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices, including MVVM or MVI
  • Understanding of core Android SDK, including Jetpack Compose
  • Experience with GraphQL and RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
  • Ability to work closely with other engineers and disciplines, including BE roles, product, and design
  • Strong experience profiling for optimizing performance and resource utilization
  • Ability to work well with product management, design, and services to shape and define products
  • Experience with Agile development processes
  • Ability to work well in a team setting
