Director of Quality Assurance & Engineering

At Syneos Health, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Quality Assurance & Engineering to lead our high-performing Quality Assurance and Engineering team. This strategic role will be responsible for developing and implementing the QA strategy and roadmap for the organization, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and the company's technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a strategic vision for quality delivery, ensuring alignment with company objectives and technology roadmap.
  • Perform line management responsibilities for QA team, including supervising the creation, implementation, and upkeep of QA procedures and standards.
  • Approve courses of action on interviewing and selection, terminations, professional development, performance appraisals, job description preparation, and employee counseling.
  • Manage reported quality issues in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Assist with the development and review of QA procedures, audit plans, checklists, and other tools.
  • Remain current on regulations and guidelines.
  • Work with and advise staff on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods.
  • Manage daily operations related to quality team and establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance quality deliverables.
  • Lead the hiring, coaching, and mentoring of resources to build a robust quality organization.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, exceeding their expectations.
  • Support the team to help resolve client issues promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular client reviews to gather feedback and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing delivery team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Provide direction and support to managers and staff, set performance goals, and conduct evaluations.
  • Promote ongoing learning and professional growth within the team.
  • Identify areas for process enhancement and implement initiatives to improve overall quality.
  • Work with other departments to streamline operations and ensure cohesive workflows.
  • Use data and analytics to inform decision-making and improve quality.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
  • Oversee the implementation of quality assurance practices to ensure delivery standards are met.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on quality team, including metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement.
