About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Manufacturing Operations Director to join our team at Barbachano International. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of our manufacturing plant, ensuring timely delivery of production plans with the right quality and cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a large team of production, quality, maintenance, and other departments to ensure efficient and effective operations.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
    • Manage and direct production planning, scheduling, inventory control, cost control, quality, safety, environmental compliance, labor management, accounting, and maintenance.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FDA, OSHA, and EPA.
    • Implement and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, lean operations, and waste reduction.
    • Develop and implement processes to track and optimize productivity, standards, metrics, and performance targets.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage and control production costs, including labor, materials, and overheads.
    • Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve profitability.
    • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans to drive business growth and improvement.
    • Collaborate with senior management to identify key areas for cost reduction and implement strategies to drive waste elimination and reduce costs.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest production management best practices and concepts.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • BS Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Business Management, or related field, with a master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on work experience within a manufacturing plant, with significant experience as a plant manager-level or similar or higher.
    • Experience in the cosmetics manufacturing industry, with knowledge of safety, cost control, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and processes.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead by example and create accountability.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
    • Fluent in English and Spanish.
