The successful candidate will be part of our Dallas, Texas-based Corporate Enterprise Data Engineering team. The engineer will have professional experience in data integration, data transformation, and developing data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Implement Data Models: Develop and implement data models and data storage solutions in the cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to support business analytics requirements.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering, such as Python, Java, or Scala, to build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
- Data Acquisition and Management: Experience with API-based data acquisition and management to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
- Data Storage and Processing: Experience with data storage and processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, SQL databases) to support big data pipelines and streaming analytics.
- Collaboration with Data Scientists: Work with data scientists to facilitate technical design of complex data sourcing, transformation, and aggregation logic to meet business analytics requirements.
- Business Intelligence and Data Visualization: Utilize business intelligence data visualization tools and techniques to translate business analytics into solutions and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Parallel Processing and Compute Optimization: Experience and familiarity with parallel processing/multithreading and compute optimization to ensure efficient data processing and analysis.
- Communication and Collaboration: Possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills to work with management and prioritize business and information needs.
- Education and Experience: Bachelors or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering and cloud-based data solutions.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages relevant to data engineering, including Python, Java, or Scala.
- Data Modeling: Deep understanding of data modeling and data storage solutions.
- Language Skills: Must be fully fluent in both English and Spanish (conversationally and written).
- Cloud-Based Data Solutions: Strong experience with cloud-based data solutions, especially AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Parallel Processing and Multithreading: Familiarity with parallel processing, multithreading, and compute optimization.
- Databricks or Palantir Foundry Experience: Experience with Databricks or Palantir Foundry software deployment is a plus.
- Cloud Solutions Expertise: Expertise in designing cloud solutions across platforms like Azure, AWS, and Google.
