About the Role

Schneider Electric is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electromechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Apodaca, Mexico. As a key member of our LV Equipment Busway offer team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electromechanical products that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electromechanical products, including mechanical and electrical components, using CAD software such as Creo.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and sales, to ensure that products meet customer requirements and are produced efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports.
  • Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), design for assembly (DFA), and design for manufacturability (DFM) to ensure that products are reliable and efficient.
  • Work with analytical tools to analyze product performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of manufacturing processes, material properties, and design of plastic parts, mechanism design, sheet metal parts, dielectric, and conductive components.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that products remain competitive and innovative.
Requirements
  • 5 or more years of experience in design and development of electromechanical products.
  • Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering degree. Master's degree is desired.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Agile design process (Scrum & Kanban) is desired.
  • Experience in creating FMEA's, DFA's, DFM's and Risk Analysis.
  • Experience with analytical tools.
  • Experience with CAD packages, Creo preferred.
  • Experience in a new product development environment and an understanding of gated product development processes and product life cycle.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, material properties and the design of plastic parts, mechanism design, sheet metal parts, dielectric, and conductive components design.
  • Self-motivated, team & customer oriented, adaptable.
  • Managing multiple activities, excellent written, organizational, communication and behavioral skills.
  • Work well in a cross-functional project team environment.
  • Ability for influence and convince.
  • Good communication skills are a must (business English conversations).
  • Desirable to have VISA B1/B2, travel 20% of the time to USA.
