About the Role

The AVI-SPL Field Service Technician will work in partnership with the Global Helpdesk to provide service support for customers at on-site locations with the end goals of restoring functionality to our customers' assets while delivering a world-class customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of AV equipment.
  2. Perform preventative maintenance visits to help maintain a stable client-based system, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  3. Clean various AV equipment, including camera lenses, monitors, and equipment fans, to maintain high-quality visual and audio experiences.
  4. Take responsibility for accurately completing job documentation as needed, providing detailed records of service activities.
  5. Field installation of control programs (AMX / Crestron/Firmware) – upload and download capability, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  6. Field service support of networked devices (Routers, IP Protocols, etc.), troubleshooting and resolving technical issues efficiently.
  7. Perform service tasks in a timely and quality-conscious manner, including pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projectors, and hanging ceiling mounts, to ensure high-quality installations.
  8. Provide necessary training and support for next-level service technicians, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.
  9. Provide end-user client training as needed, educating customers on optimal use and maintenance of AV equipment.
  10. Adhere to and understand OSHA standards for all phases of the job, prioritizing safety and compliance.
  11. Setup and troubleshoot various video codecs/video teleconferencing systems, ensuring smooth and reliable communication.
  12. Travel to various job sites as required, providing flexible and responsive service support.
