About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Practice Engineer II to join our team at Rackspace Technology. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will be responsible for implementing our organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of cloud architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Cloud Architecture: Develop and implement well-designed, documented, and tested cloud architecture that meets customer requirements.
  • Cloud Migration and Optimization: Support the development and execution of cloud implementation strategy within our existing IT infrastructure, and work with stakeholders to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Cloud Security and Compliance: Ensure adherence to company security policies and procedures, and any other relevant policies and standards as directed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with fellow Rackers and customer key stakeholders to deliver projects, such as implementing cloud-based technical architectures, executing migrations, and optimizing applications that enable business objectives.
  • Technical Advisory and Troubleshooting: Serve as a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for customers.
Requirements
  • Fluent, Bi-lingual (Spanish and English)
  • 2+ years of experience in the field of cloud engineering.
  • Generic DevOps Skill Baseline Coding
  • Scripting/Programming language/Configuration Management/Container (1 or more at 100 level)
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment
  • VCS (Git Based VSC)
  • Artifact Repository familiarity with one of the popular artifact management tools
