Job Description

At Rockwell Automation, we are seeking a highly skilled Resource and Staffing Associate to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective allocation of resources across our business segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with segment leaders to identify and forecast resource needs, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across projects.
  • Lead weekly business segment staffing calls, track project kick-off documents, and maintain a resource planner to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Identify and match project resource gaps with available staff, taking into account individual skills, experience, and availability.
  • Actively assess and analyze resource workloads, experience, interests, and feedback to effectively staff projects.
  • Manage staffing conflicts across business segments, collaborating with other talent associates to maximize firm profitability.
  • Ensure proper management of business segment team assets, including bios, resumes, and skills matrices.
  • Consolidate business segment weekly staffing updates to ensure accurate global reporting.
  • Liaise with global talent operations and delivery excellence to support strategic initiatives and imperatives.
  • Capture and report relevant KPIs, analyzing weekly staffing reporting for the business segment.

Other Talent Responsibilities:

  • Work with talent leaders to create a hiring, training, and skill development plan to ensure supply efficiency and anticipate demand.
  • Assist in managing people costs and identify potential transitions for business segments based on availability, performance, and upcoming business needs.
  • Help talent leadership formulate plans to achieve long-term growth and support strategic alignment for the business segment.
  • Coordinate with talent acquisition and engagement & development teams to ensure high-demand profiles and skills are in place to support project pipelines.
  • Support driving retention of business segment team members by balancing optimization of profitability with professional development needs.
  • Coordinate with training teams to outline strategies to improve availability of high-demand skill profiles and certifications across the business segment talent pool.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree required.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a professional services firm.
  • Experience in a talent position, preferably with resource management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage in a virtual organization.
  • Superior analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, comfort with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships.
