Job Description

Rockwell Automation is a global technology leader dedicated to helping manufacturers become more productive, sustainable, and agile. As a Resource and Staffing Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the right resources are allocated to projects across the business segment.

Responsibilities
  • Work with segment leaders to optimize resource allocation and ensure staffing metrics are met.
  • Forecast resource needs based on upcoming demand and identify potential resource gaps.
  • Lead weekly business segment staffing calls and maintain a resource planner to track project kick-off documents.
  • Match project resource gaps with available staff and assign people to projects effectively.
  • Assess and analyze resource workloads, experience, interests, feedback, and availability to ensure effective staffing.
  • Maintain a roster of all business segment resources deployed and engagements to assess utilization and availability.
  • Manage staffing conflicts amongst business segments by collaborating with other talent associates to maximize firm profitability.
  • Ensure proper management of business segment team assets, including bios, resumes, and skills matrix.
  • Consolidate business segment weekly staffing updates to ensure they are incorporated in global weekly reporting.
  • Liaise with global talent operations and delivery excellence to support initiatives and strategic imperatives as needed.
  • Capture and report upon relevant KPIs, including weekly staffing reporting for the business segment.
Other Talent Responsibilities
  • Work with Talent leaders to create a hiring, training, and skill development plan to ensure supply efficiency.
  • Assist in managing people cost in and cost out, identifying potential transitions for business segment through staffing process.
  • Help talent leadership formulate plans to achieve long-term growth and support strategic alignment for the business segment.
  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition team to ensure high demand profiles and skills are in place to support project pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Engagement & Development team to define proper new hire onboarding processes and plan performance processes and outcomes for the Business segment.
  • Support driving retention of business segment team by balancing optimization of profitability with professional development needs of individuals.
  • Coordinate with Training team to outline strategy to improve availability of high demand skill profiles and certifications across the business segment talent pool.
Basic Qualifications
  • 4-year degree required.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a professional services firm.
  • Experience in a talent position, preferably with resource management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage in a virtual organization.
  • Superior analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, comfort with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships.
