About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Procurement Specialist to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to procurement and the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Coordination: Coordinate all activities related to procurement, including preliminary specifications, selecting preferred suppliers, and dating parts and/or supplies that are needed.
  • Negotiation and Sourcing: Negotiate with suppliers to get the lowest possible cost for the purchased parts/services and supplies balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs.
  • Purchase Order Management: Perform Purchase Order (PO) maintenance associated with ordering, expediting, distribution, approvals, and record keeping.
  • Inventory Management: Manage, develop, and maintain inventory levels.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to decrease material COGS (Cost of Goods sold) and work with Manufacturing and design engineers to assist in Value engineering/value analysis on parts.
Requirements
  • Education: A (Technical) Bachelor's degree, NEVI is seen as a plus.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years related work experience and/or training in an industrial environment working with complex and/or technical supplies and materials.
  • Computer Skills: Previous experience using and understanding computerized ERP systems, knowledge of IFS or similar MRP or ERP software systems and MS Office.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiar with electro-mechanical assemblies and/or equipment, knowledge of the (offshore) energy industry is a plus.
  • Work Permit: Valid EU work permit.
