Johnson Electric is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Senior Commodity Lead to join our Supply Chain team. As a Senior Commodity Lead, you will play a critical role in managing our supply chain, optimizing costs, and ensuring the timely availability of high-quality materials.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Sourcing Strategy: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to meet business requirements.
- Commodity Management: Manage commodity categories to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery.
- Supplier Management and Negotiations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Compliance with Industry Standards: Ensure compliance with IATF16949 and ISO 9000 standards.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain operations.
- Supplier Benchmarking and Consolidation: Analyze and optimize supplier performance to achieve cost savings and improved quality.
**Requirements:**
- Local to Zacatecas, Mexico, or the ability/desire to relocate with paid relocation.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of purchasing and commodity management experience.
- Business-level English and Spanish language skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Skillful in supplier development and management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and office software, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Business-level Mandarin language skills.
- Familiarity with automotive industry quality requirements.
