Position:

The Continuous Improvement Manager will actively engage, mentor, and guide teams to enhance front-end operations, manufacturing workflows, and implement advanced technologies to achieve customer-centric enhancements across various global locations. This role involves designing, facilitating, and deploying visual management techniques while ensuring accountability in daily management practices (SQDCI) within teams. The individual will spearhead the development and execution of the Columbus McKinnon Business System (CMBS). Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive strategic deployment initiatives throughout the organization by fostering engagement and leadership, utilizing breakthrough mapping, performance tracking, data-driven problem-solving, and ensuring sustainability.
  • Lead the continuous improvement efforts across the organization by implementing and maintaining adherence to the Columbus McKinnon Business System.
  • Ensure compliance with SQDCI daily management and coach team members to address and resolve issues effectively.
  • Oversee all continuous improvement initiatives, including Daily Management, Kaizen, 5S, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), Root Cause Corrective Management (RCCM), and footprint optimization strategies.
  • Assess the requirements for manufacturing technology and facility enhancements, justifying and executing capital improvement projects.
  • Act as a co-champion for New Product Introduction initiatives.
  • Organize, promote, and facilitate training sessions related to continuous improvement tools, product quality, and reliability.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results and enhance efficiencies through continuous improvement.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring, with a strong desire to develop skills in this area.
  • Proven track record in change management and the ability to challenge organizational norms.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all functions.
  • Data-driven mindset with robust analytical capabilities.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify innovative solutions and frame logical conclusions.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences from shop floor teams to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in lean deployment and implementation.
