We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Generalist to join our team at WK Kellogg Co. As a Payroll Generalist, you will be responsible for managing payroll inquiries, processing tax orders, and maintaining adherence to payroll policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Process payroll for 3,000 U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canadian employees.
- Respond to time-sensitive legal correspondence and ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures.
- Serve as backup for setting up deductions such as overpayments, medical contributions, and union dues.
- Meet quarterly and annual payroll deadlines with high accuracy.
- Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain and develop payroll procedures and training materials, supporting both internal teams and HR generalists.
- Identify process patterns to drive standardization and support compliance audits (404 controls).
- Provide Dayforce support to corporate payroll partners.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams, legal, and external stakeholders on sensitive payroll matters.
- Respond to employee inquiries through Service Now, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring SLA adherence.
- Apply good accounting practices and assist with overpayment deduction processing.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 1-2 years of payroll experience or similar role.
- Intermediate accounting skills, especially in large spreadsheet reconciliations.
- Advanced English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities.
- Ability to interpret complex legal and tax information.
- Commitment to confidentiality with sensitive employee data.
- 2+ years of experience processing multi-state payrolls.
- Familiarity with payroll best practices.
