We are seeking a highly skilled IT Technology Associate Consultant to join our Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) Delivery Technical Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our customers across multiple infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities- Handle incidents, alerts, and service requests related to database support and services.
- Deliver and maintain complex SAP landscapes, providing technical expertise and support.
- Plan, set up, implement, and operate SAP technologies, achieving ambitious SLAs.
- Conceptualize, design, configure, and administer server landscapes with a focus on Linux Operating systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues that impact customer business.
- Manage daily operations to ensure high availability.
- Document technical operational concepts and guidelines for implemented SAP landscapes and roll out information/knowledge to the team.
- Coordinate with international teams in global projects/crisis handling/de-escalation initiatives.
- BE/BTech/MCA from a reputable institute.
- 7-9 years of work experience as a Database Administrator in a Global Operations team primarily on SAP HANA and ASE Database Platforms.
- 5-7 years of work experience as a Database Administrator in a Global Operations team primarily on any of the most commercial RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2 etc.).
- Exposure to automation tools/scripting or processes.
- DB installations and upgrades, planning, setup, and implementation.
- DB concept on security, backup, and recovery strategies, system copies, high availability, and disaster recovery strategy, export-import, and replication.
- Organize/structure day-to-day documentation.
- Willingness to take on-call duty/weekend tasks.
- Basic knowledge of any Public Cloud Domains like Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Experience working in an international environment, being able to work effectively with international and virtual teams.
- Capable in technical documentation and creation of knowledge-based assets (KBAs).
- Ability to continuously acquire new knowledge proactively and independently.
- Analytical and solution-oriented thinking.
- Exposure to the ITIL framework. Preferred but not mandatory:
- Working knowledge in UNIX/Linux environment, HANA DB, and Sybase ASE databases.
- Scripting experience - Any of Shell, Perl, Python, Go, or similar.
- Working experience in Virtualization (XEN, VMware).
- Experience with OS monitoring.
- Experience with at least one of the public cloud service providers (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform).
