Siemens Gamesa is a global leader in the development and production of renewable energy solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Data Analytics Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading fleet performance data analytics and developing tools, techniques, and solutions to help internal stakeholders consume data for engineering investigations and operational decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and experience with scientific, mathematical, computational, and/or data analysis methods. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to develop and deploy operational data-driven techniques, tools, systems, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze technical and business challenges to be solved, develop hypotheses, and analytical models.
  • Set up, develop, and configure simulation, test, and prototyping environments.
  • Perform programming of specialized software.
  • Conduct simulations or data analyses and validate results.
  • Evaluate alternatives for simulation, analysis, and modeling and optimize approaches.
  • Document and report results by appropriate visualization methods.
  • Automate reports showing reliability analysis of components, technical turbine performance, and the impact of any modifications or correctives.
  • Presents results to stakeholders, including customers and senior management.
  • Maintains a network to customers, business experts, product management, and other subject matter experts.

Requirements:

  • Typically, BS/BA in engineering (mechanical/electrical). Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
  • Wind engineering working experience – product development/management, service operational engineering.
  • Extensive experience in Python, R, Power BI, MATLAB, SQL, Tableau, or other data analytics engine and visualization tools.
  • Working experience in managing multiple engineering tasks/issues/projects.
  • Previous experience in cross-functional and international teams.
  • Have cross-disciplinary understanding of wind turbine sub-systems.
  • Ability to work and thrive independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Project Management Professional Certification.
  • Multi-lingual – English (primary)/Portuguese, Spanish.
